Published on the occasion of Nathalie Du Pasquier’s exhibition “Campo di Marte” at the MACRO, Rome, in 2021 and at the Mrac Occitanie, Sérignan, in 2022.
Bilingual English-Italian edition, 176 pages (160 pages illustrated in color)
A hybrid publication, between a monograph, an artist's book, and a catalogue, documenting the entire body of work of Nathalie Du Pasquier.
Edited by Luca Lo Pinto
Published following Nathalie Du Pasquier's solo exhibition at the MACRO in Rome (Museo di Arte contemporanea di Roma), and subsequently at the Mrac Occitanie, Sérignan—her largest exhibition to date, which brought together over one hundred paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints from the early 1980s to the present—this book oscillates between an exhibition catalogue and an artist's book by juxtaposing photographs of Nathalie Du Pasquier's works, installation views of the MACRO exhibition, and excerpts of texts by various writers and figures fundamental to her practice.
These elements come together to create an extension of the exhibition itself, in a form that conveys its spirit: the pages become exhibition spaces hosting associations and combinations that allow for a deeper understanding and exploration of Du Pasquier’s work, and of her imagination in the broadest sense.
It is an overview of the possibilities offered by her work, which can be approached, interpreted, and experienced from countless angles. It is the very vastness and variety of her work and her inspirations that make the exploration of her output, and consequently this publication, non-exhaustive.
