Originally, Tembo was part of the Marginal Notes exhibition organized by the design studio collective Note for creative purposes. The concept was to bring to life the various scribbles and "marginal notes" that the group members had in their notebooks, no matter how crazy they were.

These colorful and sculptural creations were intended to define Note's identity and mark the beginning of their careers as product designers.
