Designed in 1947 by the famous designer Charlotte Perriand for the Méribel Les Allues resort and the Hôtel Doron, one of the first chalet-hotels in that same location. Charlotte Perriand, a great enthusiast of the mountains and nature, was one of the first to take an interest in the relationship between man and his environment, seeking natural materials to integrate into her projects.
This armchair is made of solid natural teak with a seat upholstered in expanded polyurethane covered in waterproof fabric.

Née à Paris en 1903, Charlotte Perriand rejoint l'atelier de Le Corbusier et Pierre Jeanneret en 1927, part au Japon en 1940 puis conçoit la station des Arcs. La boutique réunit ses rééditions officielles Cassina, du tabouret Berger à la chaise longue Tokyo, et les pièces signées avec Le Corbusier et Jeanneret.

La maison

Cassina

Cassina est fondée en 1927 à Meda par les frères Cesare et Umberto Cassina. À partir de 1948, la maison sépare conception et fabrication et travaille avec des architectes extérieurs, à commencer par Gio Ponti, dont la chaise 699 Superleggera, produite dès 1957, ne pèse que 1,7 kg. En 1965, elle commence à éditer les meubles dessinés dans les années 1920 par Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret et Charlotte Perriand. La collection Cassina I Maestri, lancée en 1973, réunit ces archétypes du XXe siècle et des œuvres de Gerrit T. Rietveld et de Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
