Maralunga sofa by Vico Magistretti

An exclusive version in red nubuck of the famous Maralunga sofa, created by the renowned Italian designer Vico Magistretti for Cassina. An iconic piece of 20th-century design, winner of the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979, and recognizable by its warm and welcoming shapes, the Maralunga is especially famous for its height-adjustable headrest, a first in the world of furniture design.
This system, achieved through a bicycle chain embedded in the foam cushions, transforms the back of the sofa into a comfortable headrest, adding remarkable functionality to an already elegant design.
Cassina dresses the Maralunga armchair and sofa, available in two- and three-seater versions, in a shade very dear to Vico Magistretti.
Framed by special stitching that highlights its silhouette, the generous proportions of the Maralunga 50, covered in Maralunga 50-colored Nubuck leather, a particular shade of red, accentuate the model's comfort and highlight the timeless beauty of its design.
