Estetico Quotidiano starts with objects that are discarded after use—plastic water bottles, cups, egg cartons, sugar bowls, food trays—and remakes them in porcelain or glass. Selab and Alessandro Zambelli change almost nothing from the original: the ridges of the molded bottle, the square section of the milk jug, the lid topping the jar all remain. What changes is the material, and with it, the object's lifespan. The porcelain pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.
