Seat cushion for About A Stool by Hee Welling

HAY has developed a collection of seat cushions for the About A Chair and About A Stool series, with a specific size for each series. This is the stool size: 38 x 36 cm, with a non-slip backing: it stays on the shell without fasteners or velcro.

It is designed for the bare shells of the AAS 32 and AAS 38. For the already upholstered models (AAS 33 and AAS 39), it serves no purpose.

The five upholstery options, and what they really are

Valencia is a Spradling vinyl: a faux leather, not real leather; it has a uniform, waterproof surface, making it the easiest to maintain and the only one available in seven colors. Remix is a heathered Kvadrat wool blend (92% wool, 8% nylon). Mode is a solid and dense Maharam recycled polyester fabric. Atlas is a worsted Kvadrat wool blend (90% wool, 10% nylon). Scozia is the only real leather in the selection, which explains why its price is significantly higher than the other four.
