Palissade Lounge Chair

The lounge chair extends the collection's vocabulary to 164.5 cm: a frame made of a single continuous bent steel tube, and a reclining surface made entirely of spaced flat slats, from the backrest to the leg rest. There is no reclining backrest or joint: the angle is fixed, designed once and for all, which eliminates moving parts that rust or seize up outdoors. The spacing of the slats drains rainwater and allows air to circulate under the body. It is available in powder-coated steel, whose baked-on powder paint forms a hard layer, and in hot-dip galvanized steel, dipped in molten zinc: this finish is not painted, it patinates. At 65.5 cm wide, it fits through hallways and stores flat against a wall.
